175th Congregational Service Project – Sept. 14, 2014

On Sept. 14, 2014, following the 10:30 am worship service, we will be making 175 bottle of homemade laundry detergent to give to low income families at the Eastside Community Ministry Produce Market in September. We need you to start saving empty 1/2 gallon or juice containers (washed thoroughly) .

You can bring them on Sept. 14 or leave them in the church furnace room. The soap making is an easy process and something both your and old can help with. You may either bring a sack lunch or we will also provide pizza for lunch that day. It should only take a couple of hours if we have a lot of helpers.

Laundry soap is expensive for families on limited incomes and not something that they can use food stamps on. Providing them with free laundry soap also allows them to use those funds for food and utility expense.

Please consider giving a couple hours on Sept. 14 and also save your 1/2 gallon bottles for the175th Congregational Service Project!
