Muskingum University choirs will perform at St. John’s 7 pm Tuesday, March 5.
The choirs are under the direction of Dr. Zebulon Highben (husband of Amanda Highben, St. John’s Vicar and Director of Youth and Parish Ministries).
The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are the premier choral ensembles at Muskingum University in New Concord, a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
The concert will feature a wide variety of sacred and secular repertoire, including works by Tallis, Byrd, Britten, and Whitacre; folk music from Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States; plus love songs, Broadway ballads, and more.
The performance is free and open to the public, though a free-will offering will be collected to help offset the choirs’ expenses. For more information, contact the church office at (740) 452-7569.
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for this wonderful evening of music!
