A Time To Give Thanks: Community Thanksgiving Worship

Join St. John’s and your Zanesville friends and neighbors at our annual Downtown Churches Thanksgiving worship service on Tues., Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal (155 N. 6th St.) This is a wonderful opportunity to offer our thanks to God with fellows Christians, while praying for peace, pardon and the welfare of our nation.

Pastor Mark will be helping to lead worship, and because it’s the tradition for the newest member of the Downtown Clergy Group to give the sermon, I’ll also be preaching. Worshipers are asked to bring canned goods or monetary donations (or both!) for the work and ministry of Christ’s Table.

Those who might like to sing in the choir that night are asked to arrive a half hour prior to worship for rehearsal. (For more details please talk with our Music Director, Mary Ellen Strahm.) Refreshments will also be served following worship. We’d love to see you there!
